About Beautiful Hands

Hand ageing is a complex process involving the skin layers and underlying muscles and bones.

A great number of people – while meticulous about looking after their face - neglect the appearance of their hands, giving away their biological age.

Hand ageing is a complex process involving the skin layers and underlying muscles and bones.

At the skin level there may be uneven pigmentation or ‘age spots’, wrinkling due to increased collagen breakdown, reduced firmness due to a progressive loss of elastin, loss of volume due to impaired glycosaminoglycan synthesis and redistribution of fat. Under the skin, ageing is associated with muscle wasting and architectural changes in bones secondary to senile bone degeneration and diseases such as osteoporosis or arthritis leading to widening of the gap between the small hand bones.

A great number of effective non-surgical treatments are available. Our unique hand rejuvenation programme consists of a combination of treatments (e.g. fillers, Sculptra, peels) followed by a customised skin care protocol to restore a healthy and younger looking appearance of your hands.
